Maxine Wang is a Scientific Operations Manager at the LGR. She received her degree in Molecular Environmental Biology from UC Berkeley where she studied the effects of cis-regulatory elements on evolved tooth gain. Maxine attributes her breadth of operational expertise to her diverse work history from a clinical-stage company tackling computational drug discovery to an institute dedicated to advancing CRISPR-based translational medicines. At the LGR, Maxine is spearheading the buildout of an unprecedented operational infrastructure that enables cutting edge functional genomics at the interface of academia and industry. Maxine is also a member of the Weissman Lab where she is studying mitochondrial protein biogenesis and stress responses.
